Brick Drive

Show your support for the veteran(s) in your life by purchasing a brick that will be laid in the front walkway of the post from the front step out to the street. Bricks are $100 for a 4x4 brick and $150 for an 8x8 brick.

Join us every Wednesday,9:00am-4:00pm at the VFW Open House! Veterans & public welcome. Enjoy free Wi-Fi, coffee, donuts, and a friendly vibe in our post hall. Perfect for connecting, especially for those visiting the Shelby County Veteran Service Officer. Come feel at home!

Flag Retirement

When an American flag is no longer a fitting emblem for display, the flag needs to be retired in a respectful manner - not thrown away. You can drop off a flag in the American Flag Disposal Box outside the VFW Post 5066 and know that the flag will be properly retired.

Commander Benjamin Kemker

As Commander of VFW Post 5066, I want to extend a warm welcome to all veterans, active-duty service members, and their families who visit our page. Whether you’re new to the area, recently separated from service, or simply looking to reconnect with a community that understands, you have a place here.

At our post, we’re proud to have a Veterans Service Officer (VSO) in-house to assist with VA claims, benefits guidance, and navigating the support you’ve earned. Our doors are open not just for camaraderie and service, but for real, practical help.

We actively collaborate with other Veterans Service Organizations to ensure no veteran is left behind, and we welcome partnerships that strengthen our mission of advocacy, assistance, and brotherhood.

If you're eligible and looking for purpose, connection, or a chance to continue serving, we invite you to attend a meeting, join us at an event, or simply drop by for a cup of coffee.
