“The four Collierville Police Officers honored tonight epitomize the excellence that the Collierville Police Department strives for every day. They have served their country as members of the military and they continue to dedicate their lives to service by selflessly protecting Collierville,” said Chief Lane of the men recognized.
Veterans in Collierville gathered for a fundraising concert Saturday, featuring a Duck Dynasty star and an attempt at the world’s tallest toilet paper pyramid.
"Not everyone can make it to D.C., so this allows especially the community here to remember their lost loved ones, so their names aren't forgotten," said Justin Johnson, Post Commander VFW #5066.
“Up to 30% of my lung capacity was lost because of breathing in that stuff,” said Jason Lederfine, US Army veteran.
The event is Grand Ole Opry’s Salute the Troops concert event sponsored by Humana. May 21 at the Grand Old Opry 7:00 PM show time
This is the annual meeting for department elections.
